on why Jarrel started his YouTube channel
Yes, I admit. I am very passionate with technology that it overflows.
I entered the education space co'z, not only that it's an environment where I can continuously learn but I can likewise share my learning to my students and colleagues. However, I felt that this still wasn't enough. I needed an avenue to reach more people - all across the globe, if possible!
That's where LinkedIn Learning and YouTube comes in...
With LinkedIn Learning, I get to create formal learning content on various networking topics - and I am not alone in the process! I am supported by my course manager and the entire LinkedIn Learning team from ideation, to script writing, video & audio editing, until the course gets published! As of this writing, we've already got five courses covering various routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), Cisco Modeling Labs, and many more to come! Stay tuned!
On the other hand, YouTube is my creative outlet where I can post various tech-related tutorial videos using my self-taught video/audio editing skills. Yes, it is self-taught and I love the learning process! I enjoy the fact that I get to teach others while I am learning video production by myself at the same time. Ain't that fun?
I then apply my newly-found skills to my classes where I get to create videos and learning content in Moodle, a learning management system (LMS).
Got a topic that you'd like me to cover?
Feel free to let me know.
